Common questions about Tasty Vege

  • Why am I wait listed for Vegebox?

    Good vegetables take time to grow and we will increase availability as our veggies come ready. Look at our available veggie list to see what else is available.

  • What if I just want a small amount?

    If you would prefer to purchase individual products just go to our Shop and select the items you would like. There are minimum volume sizes on products however most come in smaller volumes.

  • Can I order and pay online but pick up from the Farmers' Market?

    Yes. You can pre order and pay online then simply select the Farmers’ Market as the delivery location and your purchase will be waiting for you at the market.

  • Delivery charge

    All purchases over $40 do not incur a delivery charge. Vegeboxes on an weekly subscription also do not incur a delivery charge. Our standard delivery charge within city limits is $5 per delivery.

  • What if I want to stop my box for a period of time?

    It is possible to take a ‘holiday’ from your weekly delivery contract, however we do need 10 working days notice. A ‘holiday’ can be no longer than 4 deliveries/weeks.

  • What if I want to stop my weekly deliveries?

    There is a 10 day notice period to cancel any contracts. This allows is to complete all changes at our end regarding your account.

  • How do Tasty Vege grow their vegetables?

    We grow our vegetables using sustainable growing methods.
    What does this mean? We use fertilisers that feed the soil biology, use options such as bug netting to protect against pests and green crops to restore the soil between vegetable crops.

  • Do I need to wash my food before eating?

    Please wash all fruit and vegetables before eating. We take the uptmost care when harvesting and packing our products for you, but in order to reduce our chemical use we do not use harsh sterilisers or cleaners.

  • What accreditations does The Tasty Vege Co Ltd hold?

    We are: NZGAP approved NZGAP Number 4244, NP1 certified MPI004600/1
    What does this mean? This means we have approved procedures and protocols in place for growing and supplying minimally processed vegetables ensuring you receive a product that is safe to eat.

  • What do I do if what I receive doesn't match the description?

    Our Vegeboxes change from week to week depending on what is at its best in our gardens. All images on the website are guides only.
    With each order you will receive an packing slip which outlines your order from the website and the name of who packed your box.
    If you are unhappy with the quality of what you have received email us at orders@tastyvege.co.nz with ‘product question’ in the subject box and we will be in touch as soon as possible. Please include the order number with your email.
